Phantom Mansion 2-The Arabian Sea

 The hiatus is over! gimmie5games has just launched it's third installment to The Legend of The Seven Seas! The second series of The Phantom Mansion. Two never-ending puzzle-solving adventures centered around mystery, spooks, and boldly going where no geek has gone before!

 After freezing his butt off in The Black Sea and The North Sea, Hector sails on southward unto much warmer territory.

 Looking up, Hector noted an ominous cloud of dust descending upon the old rickety ship. A south wind began to blow violently against the Rutter. The Sun, Moon, and stars were blotted out from the expanse. The heavens and the seas disappeared into a suffocating misty darkness. Yet mysteriously, the vessel took a turn to the west as if some unknown force was steering the boat.

 What appeared to be a horizontal whirl-wind carved itself out amidst the blinding mist of sand. Twinkling pyramids were seen twirling around Hector's ship. He was now sailing amidst the vortex of a whirling column of sand. Until a light appeared at the end of the tunnel.

 Alas, the skies eventually cleared. The sea was no more. Sand dunes could be seen as far as the eye could see. A great big pyramid stood towering up to the heavens. The map. The one the Phantoms gave you last Halloween declares this be the place of The Third Ruby-that is of The Arabian Sea.

 Give Hector a hand as he sorts through many creeks, crates, and rafts to unlock The Holy Grail. That is The Arabian Ruby. Be on your guard against a new breed of zombies-much faster and more vicious then before! Just keep your eyes on the prize. If ever your in a dead-end, refer to PMaddict to walk you through The Arabian Wilderness.

Phantom Mansion 2-The Black Sea

 Hector now embarks upon "The Black Sea" in search of "the Black Diamond". Just one of seven gems among "The Seven Seas". The spirits of the Phantom Mansion have told this young lad to begin his journey here. And so this initiates our adventure in finding "The Treasure of The Seven Seas".

 It was one typical late-October afternoon at the pier. Cool, damp, and dreary. With a blanket of thick fog rolling in from the sea. Which kept the warm sunlight from penetrating it's thick layers.

 That day, Hector resolved to go for a brisk walk on the beach. While strolling along, his eye caught an artifact half burrowed within the sand. "Could this be what the spirits referred to when they said 'upon the sand along the seashore'"?

 But before he could finish that thought, an ancient inscription(written in a foreign language) gradually transformed into a red X! While trembling at the same time, Hector became exceedingly happy. He daydreamed of becoming filthy rich!

 As he grabbed the treasure map, the sea of fog cleared to reveal an abandoned ship from the 1800's! So he hopped on board and steered the vessel deep into the waters. Legends refer to this body of water as "The Black Sea". Mysterious vanishings have become of those who've traversed those seas. Luckily for you, they didn't acquire the map.

 Finally, Hector reaches the spot. A dark cave on an islet and so he hunts for the black diamond. Not to be surprised, there are ghosts looming around this gloomy cavern. Now your adventure begins...

Treasure of The Seven Seas

Hector, my boy...

 Thou hast verily demonstrated thy courage against the evil presence within The Phantom Mansion. And as a reward to thy bravery, we shall reveal to thee a map within the sand along the seashore. Near thy dwelling place just 400 cubits apart.

 Guard it well Hector. For in it lays the secrets of the treasures of the seven seas. Within that relic lay the keys unto a prosperous future. Ye shall be the most wealthiest man to have walked the face of the Earth. Yet only if ye follow the map carefully.

 Again as a token of our gratitude, we found it wise to repay thee in this manner. Thus, you must embark upon The Seven Seas to acquire the whole treasure.

Phantom Mansion The Black Sanctum

 Excellent mortal...You hath verily accomplished thy quest among the 7 rooms of this cursed loft. "The Red Chamber", "Orange Library", "Yellow Tower", "Green Gallery", "Blue Ballroom", "Indigo Dungeon", and finally the "Violet Vault". Thou must redeem the spirits trapped for many centuries within the masks therein. Thou shalt surely burn the contents thoroughly. Until the red death is vanquished.

 Hundreds...Nay thousands of additional souls shall be free at last. And this household shall be pure to dwell in. A safe haven to reside.

 Hector...The Spectrum of Souls are counting on thee! Don't let thy guard down. press onward toward the goal.

 Be prepared to get your brained taxed! If you thought contending with growning spirits was bad enough, you ain't seen nothin' yet!

 The soundtrack and gameplay is a mixture of all 7 editions put together. The music is alright but not quite as enchanting like the others.

 To sum it all up for you, I'd get used to this. Cause the way it looks, you're gonna be glued to your monitor the better half of the day.:) Well done, gimmie5games! A cyber toast for such a well thought-out Halloween flash game!

Phantom Mansion The Violet Vault

 Assuming you've already wondered the dark alleys of "The Red Chamber", the creepy "Orange Library", those endless stairways to "The Yellow Tower", viewed a few gruesome photos at "The Green Gallery", waltz about the  "Blue Ballroom", and sneaked into the basement. Only to wind up with a bunch of cryptids in "The Indigo Dungeon". Now, we need to rescue the seventh and final soul from "The Violet Vault".

 Beware of screeching ghosts-those angry and bitter souls forever entangled within "The Red Death". Their groans can be heard echoing down the corridors. One swipe of their cold, dry dead plasmic bodies will send chills up and down your spine.

 But these spirits can be manipulated. If you know what you're doing. A Good juggle of the crates can lead them to where you want them to go.

 Once you've obtained the violet mask, you may have freed the 7 spirits(within their cells). However, the curse is still intact until you've successfully burnt the masks in a prescribed fashion. For that, you need to enter "The Black Sanctum". It will be there the final battle will be waged.

Hector, I am the last soul who needs rescuing. If ye set us free and turn this mansion back to the way it was, we shall reward thee with an even greater adventure amongst "The Seven Seas"-where pure gold can be found!

Phantom Mansion The Violet Vault Review

 If there's one piece of advice, I'd say watch out for the last two rooms! They are hard as heck! Just steering the darn spirits will lead you on the edge of your seat! Ignoring every itch on your body. Keeping those eyes strained on your monitor.

 The soundtrack is just awesome! With those howling phantoms, tormented in Tartarus. With malevolent spirits taunting Hector. There's even a drunken-soul bidding you on("That's...It"). He must've had too much Pumpkin Veloute to imbibe.

 With Halloween just around the corner, this will definitely get you in the spirit!

 Well done mortal! You have thus far snatched 5 souls from "The Red Death".

 And now Hector. You must save the phantom of "The Indigo Dungeon". A place filled with jesters(who are a pain in the butt) and plenty of zombies sleepwalking from the living dead. Solve the riddles of the ages and obtain "The Indigo Mask" to free his spirit from it's rigor mortis. The living...Nay-The dead rest on your shoulders.

Phantom Mansion Indigo Dungeon Review

 The music gives the impression of a progressive tune. You'll notice the sound effects tell a story. They supposedly reveal the truth behind those dead corpses and harnessed stretchers you see lying around. Those poor souls.

 Game play is great(as usual). Just watch out for Mr. goody two shoes. He likes to extort your keys and play catch me if you can. Remember, these are jesters. Pulling pranks is their line of duty. Cornering the maggot typically does the trick.

Phantom Mansion The Blue Ballroom

 So far brave mortal, you have successfully ventured through "The Red Chamber", "The Orange Library", "The Yellow Tower", and "The Green Gallery"(if not, then I beseech thee, Go back and release my fellow spectrum-prisoners. Together we keep hauntings in check).

 Tonight, ye must deliver the blue soul from "The Red Death". The council of The Spectrum of Souls are counting on ye to lift the evil spell malevolent beings have cast upon this forsaken dwelling.

 Be wary, Hector my boy, of walking skeletons and pulverized zombies who will bite thee without partiality. Above all else, don't fall into the bottomless pit of despair! Many a poor soul have ventured within these walls only to fall for all eternity. Mark my words, there is no rest from this tormenting sensation!

 Be sure to solve the puzzle this perverse specter has laid out for thee. My son, be ye courageous and persevere till the end. By doing so. Ye will have saved one more ghost from the curse of The Phantom Mansion.

Phantom Mansion: The Blue Ballroom Review

 The phonographic soundtracking does deliver a good old-fashioned sense of spooks. That cold dry aura of an abandoned antique parlor filled with flickering candles and dancing buttoned-down spirits who've passed on to the next life. I wouldn't blame Hector for having second thoughts.

 There are three potions scattered throughout the ballroom chamber. One will make you dizzy and reverse the controls(much like shifting sides in keeping with "The Rules Of The Road"). Another potion will give a caffeine buzz! Leaving you banging off the walls(and I do mean Michael Jackson)! But cheer up. There is a blue potion which will cure all your ailments.

 By far, this is one of the greatest online game series I have seen for quite some time! Truly a one of a kind treat for all you Halloween lovers!

Phantom Mansion: The Green Gallery

 Well done mortal. Thou hath certainly ventured forth through "The Red Chamber", "The Orange Library" and "The Yellow Tower". But I beseech thee to press on toward the goal. Thou must accumulate all pieces(a.k.a. skulls) of the Phantom of The Green Gallery to obtain The Green Mask.

Ye must Collect all 7 of these sacred masks and place them on The Black Sanctum. Only then wilt thou surely break the curse that hath kept us bound unto a thousand years.

Phantom Mansion(Green) Review

 Game play once again hits the spot. Not too easy or exasperating. The soundtrack is a bit awkward as Christmas and Halloween don't mingle together(unless your thinking of The Nightmare Before Christmas). Neither do snowflakes and zombies co-exist.

 I don't know about you but I have a knack for putting things together. That's all this is basically. Filling in the gaps to get from point A to point B. More like living in a riddle that needs a solution.

 But all in all, I am thoroughly impressed by this guys creativity over at high5.com Truly another great addition to "The Phantom Mansion Spectrum of Souls Series"!

Phantom Mansion Code Yellow

 Let's now look into chapter 3: "The Yellow Tower" of "The Phantom Mansion Spectrum of Souls Series". If you haven't already, go ahead and explore "The Red Chamber" and The Orange Library. There are phantoms that need rescuing from the jaws of the red(and orange) death.

 Beware of the cursed demons in red. Touch them and you'll get spell-bound. Obtain the cross and lovely angels they will be.

 As you can tell, the levels are getting a bit tougher. But press on. Before you know it, The Phantom of The Yellow Tower will be just one more soul in your spectrum repository.

Phantom Mansion: The Yellow Tower Review

 As with part one and part two, revealing the exit via crystal-ball is more of a nuance than an aid. So be prepared for that. Obtaining the last skull near the exit will solve the issue.

 The soundtrack is accompanied by random heart beats. Meant to send shivers down little Hector's spine. This gives the impression of a classic haunted loft well beyond it's creaking years.

 Despite that small clique(crystal ball), prepare to be entranced within another spooky puzzle-solver via High5!

Phantom Mansion The Orange Library

 Congratulations! You've just acquired the red soul etched within the mask you've just found. But the journey's not over yet(and if you haven't undertaken the red death, I'd encourage you to go back to Phantom Mansion Chapter 1 if you want). We've still got 7 more souls to awaken. And our next soul of the spectrum wheel leads us to...

The Orange Library

 There are 24 more doors filled with puzzles, crates, and pieces of the Orange Spirit encased within the skulls of those who've perished. You must pry their spirits away from the cold dead fingers of the grave to finally awaken and set free the phantom of The Orange Library.

 I wanted more creature features. But unfortunately was stuck with the same zombies and skeletons again. I will admit they are faster though. Plus as an added bonus, you can warp from one spot to another(how sweet is that?). Stay tuned for chapter three: the Code Yellow.

Phantom Mansion: The Red Chamber

 The red chamber sets off our quest to save these poor lost souls trapped within these walls of perdition. Guide little Hector from room to room and release the spirits contained within their dead skulls and set free "The phantom of The Red Chamber".

These ghosts will be released from their prison cells but unable to escape the mansion until you've broken the spell within The Black Sanctum.

 Be wary of walking skeletons and three-eyed zombies. Oh and did I mention the bottomless pit? Just keep one eye glued to the floor and the other solving one gruesome riddle after another. In no time, you'll be prepared to undertake The phantom of The Orange Library.

The Red Chamber Review

 Now this is something I can get hooked on for hours! The puzzles are challenging but not perplex nor frustrating. Just enough to leave you on the edge of your seat. In gleeful Anticipation of what's behind door number[insert blank here]. All in good Halloween taste.

 Just gotta love those eerie sound effects? It reminds me a lot of The Haunted Mansion at Disney World. My only complaint is the tendency for it to get a little hum-drum after awhile. Hearing the same soundtrack rehashed over and over again just leaves you brain-fatigued. But otherwise, your in for a real spooky treat!

 As your ghost host at the Haunted Mansion would say... "Enjoy your stay at The Phantom Mansion"!

Phantom Mansion: Spectrum of Souls

 Today marks the beginning of a month full of creepy little surprises. Games that'll leave you into the spirit of Halloween. To start, I'd like to take you through eight ghoulish chambers of The Phantom Mansion.

 There are 8 rooms full of riddles and spooks, cursed by "The Retched Color-Wheel"-each chamber with it's own color. You must lift this spell off this mansion and restore the castle to it's former glory.

 Be sure to complete each one before venturing forth unto "The Black Sanctum"-the curse of all curses! You'll be glad you did. Once the curse has been lifted, the spirits will lead you on a quest for the Treasure of the Seven Seas!
