The Great Escape Finale!

 Here is the grand final to Matt's "Great Escape Series"-The root which connects all rooms into one. Namely "The Great House Escape". An animated point-and-click adventure unlike you've ever seen before!

 After blowing out the trap-door leading to the Attic, you don't feel so stupid after-all. Now it's all becoming clearer. You weren't coming home from work. As a matter of fact, you don't even live here!

 In that ancient abode just down the street, where legends tell of a portal or gateway connecting the living with the dead, mischievous spirits have been known to haunt the premises. Many who've tried to reside there, wound-up packing and leaving in the middle of the night. Now the place lays desolate and in disrepair.

 A little game of Truth Or Dare has left your friends double-dogging you to walk in that house. So on you trot, getting ever closer to that haunted mansion, piercing your soul with a cold dead stare.

 Walking up the rotten front yard, the light from the kitchen was still on. "Maybe someone still lives here"? "Either that or General Electric has forgotten to turn out the lights"? And so you muster what courage is left and try to sneak in the back door. Which gives a slow, shuttering, termite-infested crackling noise. Revealing a cremated, beat-up, dusty kitchen straight out of the 50's!

 Suddenly, the door gives a terrifying slam! An entity laughs you to scorn, feeding off your very fears. The room transforms into it's pristine glory. An Amnesic pseudo memory overtakes you. Leading you to believe your a dweeb. Living a different life in an alternate reality.

 At least that's how it appears. Now you must play Ghostbusters to harness these ghosts(each spirit represents a previous room you've already escaped from) and give them to this old Zen lady(a friendly spirit) who will release them from this spiritual prison. That in turn, will allow you to finally escape the house and tell the tale. But don't expect anyone to believe you.

The Great Attic Escape

 O.K. Anyone with an I.Q. under 40 would learn by now to always leave the door open(at least in this house). But apparently, Dufus is the exception to the rule. While heading on up to the attic, a sharp nail leaves him stumbling on the dry dusty wooden floor. Dufus meanwhile swings his elbow and knocks the trap door slam shut. All closed doors within the house lock by default. So as you can tell, this is gonna be another long day.

 Introducing "The Great Attic Escape". Produced by Mateusz Skutnik and his team at Pascal Games. The sixth installment of "The Great House Escape". Preceded by "The Great 'Kitchen', 'Living Room', 'bathroom', 'Basement', and 'Bedroom' Escapes".

 Use your mouse's basic instinct on pointing-and-clicking around the creaky attic floor. Look for gizmos(including a few bats) to colligate into your master plan in escaping from the attic. A problem only Dufus could of gotten into. Hey, I bet the locksmith makes a killing from his mistakes!

 A marvelous and unique enhancement has been inserted within the games plot structure.(bat boogieing, toy cars, phonographic 45's, and meticulous contraptions on everyday and not-so everyday appliances. Even the music gets groovy a bit for a change(Though it just might get on your nerves after 10 minutes). The zany art and animation has become this guys middle name. It's what you'd expect from a great house room-escape. In all, I believe "The Great Attic Escape" is fresh and innovative. Something familiar yet new he hadn't done before! I wonder if they'll be a seventh installment?

The Great Bedroom Escape

 Locking one's self up in strange rooms can be quite daunting and challenging. Not to mention fairly draining and mentally exhausting. It's now 11:00 at night(you've been at this since six this morning)! So straight to bed and under the covers you go. Not giving another thought on why you've been finding yourself trapped in odd places.

 The alarm gives an unwelcome morning inauguration. So you got up, got dressed, and approached the bedroom door to get a few things in the attic. The door would not budge! The key to the bedroom door must have slipped out of your pocket unnoticed while going to bed! "Impossible!" You exclaim...But since it's nowhere in sight, you must find some other clever way to get out!

 Mateusz Skutnik has shocked us with yet another room-escape from the exiting series "The Great House Escape". As is his custom, a new sound-effect is subtly thrown in there somewhere within the cracks. So far, we've thus explored "The Great Kitchen Escape", "The Great Living room escape", "The Great Bathroom Escape", and "The Great Basement Escape". Now our journey takes us to "The Great Bedroom Escape". Sponsored by the find people at pascalgames.com.

 Use your little mousy to point-and-click for items you will need to throw together into special tools which will aid you in getting that door to burst open. By the way don't get too exited over the cat. The key she is hiding will only open the dresser cabinet. Watch out! She may swear a few syllables(indistinguishable) for waking her highness.

The Great Bedroom Escape Walkthrough

• Go to right drawer(beside bed) and get the phone separately as the handle(earpiece) and telephone-hook. Also, grab an ink pen from the top shelf.
• Now go to drawer on other side of bed to obtain the alarm clock.
• Go left and use ink pen on locked dresser drawer. Collect yellow metal piece that falls on the floor.
• Go left and grab robe tied around left window curtain.
• Set the alarm clock on window-sill to 2:00(the cat will shriek off and reveal a key for the dresser).
• Go right. After opening dresser, obtain super glue to your top left.
• Zoom out, go right and insert super glue on both phone receiver and transmitter of phone-handle(a.k.a earpiece).
• Attack phone-handle on yellow metal piece(this will create a saw).
• Use saw on right bed peg.
• Now tie the rope around it to create a ram.
• Go up and connect telephone-hook to light.
• Then go down, go right, and connect ram to telephone hook suspended in mid-air.
• Click on ram so it can burst the door open. Guaranteeing your escape. Congratulations!
• Now to get a few things out of the attic in preparation for Easter...

 To me this wasn't as spicy nor amusing as what we've already covered in this series. Now don't get me wrong. I think Mateusz has done a terrific job(as usual) in executing the spirit of "The Great House Escape". Maybe it's just the cat didn't do it for me. But the sheer wacky piece of art, coupled with it's twangy and downright zacky gameplay all contributes the bedroom series from getting demoted. Gentlemen! Start your clicking!

 Boy it just keeps getting from bad to worse. Getting teased by a Parana is one thing. But talking to flies, well I guess you'll just have to bump up that cat scan appointment. What's more? A bad case of the runs left you glued to the toilet seat for about an hour. When finished, the door would not budge. Alas, you've done it again!

 I just love the cartoonish picturesque atmosphere and interactivity. The soundtrack puts you in the mood to connecting the most mundane house appliances. There's even a post-humorous little fly on the menu for an eight-legged freak(or not). "The Great Bathroom Escape" is another must-play and in my opinion, belonging to one of the best escape-the-room mini-series out there!

The Great Living Room Escape

 After feeling like such a dewfus in the kitchen(a.k.a The Great Kitchen Escape), you come forth into the living room and realize somebody's taking advantage of your stupidity. It's either that or a cat scan.

 "The Great Living Room Escape" is number two in our series of "The Great House Escape". Produced by Kochaski and the man behind "The Submarine Room-Escape Series".

 Get ready to crack your knuckles and launch those mouse-pads for another round of point-and-click adventure! To start off, Mr. Parana here is teasing you to the beat of a homemade stopwatch. While your key of escape stares helplessly up at you. Now to find a alternative way of getting eatin' alive...hmm(scratches head)?

 There are quite a few zany tools you could use to distract mister fishy. Store them in your inventory files which are conveniently located near the top. Encroached within a few transparent bobbles. This is remarkably easy. Within two minutes, you should be done.

The Great Living Room Escape Walkthrough

1. Click the third drawer, get rubber.

2. Go right, click on the left piece of broken pair of glasses below couch.

3. Click on drink, collect straw.

4. Go right, click on globe, grab a can that has blue and red color on it.

5. Click on string beside right curtain.

6. Go right, get hamster, umbrella, and bottle of Steroids.

7. Go right, now in your inventory, connect the half eye glass to the straw(a snorkel is formed).

8. Connect rope to umbrella(a fishing rod develops).

9. Connect the hamster to the steroids(Which makes him hyper).

10. Give the hamster the swimming mask(snorkel).

11. Use the hamster on the fishing rod(he will risk his life to give you that key).

12. Zoom in at the fish tank, use hamster on that tank.

13. Get key, go left, use the key for the door.

14. Now what? Another room!??

The Great Living Room Escape Review

 Talk about another wonderful wacky art piece, the graphics faintly remind me of Disney's classic "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"! "The Great Living Room Escape" has such great soundtracks and fluid animation, it get's you in the mood for a snack or to play with your household appliances(don't ask). There's a bit of humor thrown in there between a fish and a door key. Kochaski ought to get an academy award for infusing such outstanding vilification and zest into his games!

The Great Kitchen Escape

 From the makers of Pascal Games comes a freshly squeezed Room Escape Game. All part of their house escape(room by room) series. Known for it's uniquely simplified yet sappy point-and-click graphics.

 There really not much of a story behind it. Though you must of done something real stupid to lock yourself in the kitchen. So your quest begins with a sink staring you in the face(a bit moist from dripping tap water). Guide your mouse around the kitchen and grab all the utensil you can to scheme a way out of here. Well actually, you should thank mister fishy for freezing his little butt off devising up a plan for you. Oh, the things we do for love.

The Great Kitchen Escape Review

 For some totally strange reason, those sound effects make me yearn for a cross between tap water and a plumbers occupation(don't ask me why). Maybe it's the way the percussion is arranged. With each little gadget contributing to the beat of the drum.

 The marvelous artwork and graphics certainly do have this cartoon-like atmosphere you'd just love to jump-in. Grabbing the mundane in everyday life and pouring new life into their very fabric. Especially the introduction(refrigerator sticky-posts). Truly a work of art!

 I loved how simple and wacky the game play was. There are some who may still need to cheat now and then. But overall, pixel-hunting and frustration are brought down to a bare minimum. If you are new or just not very good at this room escape thing, then I would definitely recommend "The Great Kitchen Escape".

 "The Great House Escape" is a series of point-and-click room-escape games from the comic and flash art producers at pascalgames.com Here's my little humorous sidekick to the series...

Once upon a time,

 There lived a man who in every way was a dufus(or at least he thought so). He worked for Hampers-a manufacturing giant across the other side of town. He'd just moved into a new home on Elton Street. A peculiar mansion complete with a default lock system.

 The real estate agent gave Doofus about a dozen keys and took off chuckling. One glance at the clock left him also running for the Mercedes Benz and taking off for another full-days work. Thoughtlessly, Dufus tossed those keys aside upon the passengers side. Not giving them another thought.

 Arriving back home, Dufus snuck through the back way into the kitchen to get a bite to eat. The keys were still laying in the car. But before he could realize it, the back-door gave a jolly old slam.

 And so our adventures begin tonight with some dweeb too stupid to even walk out the front door. Will he finally manage to escape or be forever wondering through an endless maze of rooms within "The Great House Escape"? Could someone(or something) be pulling a prank? Find out below in...
