 The long hiatus is over. Here is the final installment to a much beloved series. The Submachine to end all Submachines! Mateusz Skutnik has finally released the awaited tenth and final installment to his critically acclaimed series. This one promising to be a way out of the rad race he's put us through for ten years. 

 Apparently Murtaugh has unraveled the secrets of the Universe and has beckoned his beloved wife Elizabeth to join him in becoming a legendary Avatar. Together, they would transcend both space and time-becoming superhuman.

 You barely can tell time now. It's been eons now. But all you could remember is sleeping soundly upon your sofa. The next, you roused up in a deserted mechanical room filled with ozone and aimlessly spinning reel-to-reel tapes. Ever since then, you've been searching..no..aching for a way out of this urban nightmare. All the signs lured you for a way out to no avail. Hopefully "The Exit" will finally let you taste the blessed light of day, that is, the great outdoors!

 Just like all previous installments, use that ol mouse to browse through numerous compartment, find useful items, and store it in your trusty inventory. Use what you have on various devices to make stuff happen. This game is much longer and complicated then the past editions. So a thorough walkthrough is definitely warranted which I have just below my review.



Submachine 10 Review



 Mat has really outdone himself this time! From the exquisite graphics and meticulous animation, his name is permeated throughout the adventure! The atmosphere is awkwardly surreal and the soundtracking has that eerie feeling of being trapped(within a cybernetic nightmare) and deprived of even a hit of civilization! Although the ending was rather abrupt. I felt it needed a bit more explanation. But then again maybe his future standalone's will go into more detail(like Submachine Engine). All in all, I give Submachine 10 an A+!

Submachine 10 Walkthough


The Beginning


1. Head to your right until you've reached the ladder. Note the fuzzy number on the pillar with an anchor connected on top(#3).

2. Go up the ladder and get the sphere of light then go back down.

3. Resume your way rightward until you encounter a crown arc(circular object). Insert sphere of light within it and click to transport yourself into the Control Room.

4. Go right, up the stairs, then left to the Lever with four arms that control the ladder you were on outside. Just pull the third one.

5. Now go right twice and pick up backpack beside nightstand.

6. Now go back out of the Control Room, go left, and then go all the way up the ladder(located at the 3rd pillar with anchor attached) and pick up Ship I.D. Number within Spherical Ship Room.

7. Now go back into Control Room. Go upstairs then right until you hit a dead end.

8. Insert Ship I.D. Number within Dispenser in exchange for a Bottle Fuse.

9. Go back outside of Control Room, head left twice, then go down and insert Bottle Fuse into Empty Power Socket.

10. Now push the levers arm witch will activate the machine. Now go back into the Spherical Ship Room.


The Ship



1. After you've entered the ship, go left twice, up to the top of the ladder, then bang a right and grab the door valve.

2. Go back to the Entrance Room(first room you've entered in Ship). Now go right twice, up the ladder, then take a left and pick up Ladder Piston. Go right twice and insert valve into door to open. Enter.

3. Go right until you see the Karmic Portal. Go in.

4. Go down twice, open Lid and lower the ladder to go down.

5. Remove the latch then open the door to enter dimension 0-0-0. Go right and click the third button then main button on Teleporter to enter 0-0-1.


Dimension 0-0-1



1. Now go right then up the ladder. Pick up first hieroglyphic picture. Go left then up the ladder and pick up second pic.

2. Go back to Teleporter and insert 0-1-0.



Dimension 0-1-0



1. Go right twice then down twice and pick up Range Confirmator.

2. Go back up then to the far-left and get bar.

3. Go right twice and insert bar on the Drills left side. Then unleash both clamps and pull on handle. Go left once and flip arm(switch).

4. Now go down Drill hole. Continue down twice then head right. Open Air-Lock Door and continue right.

5. Pick up Air Lock Handle.

6. Go to the far left and insert the Range Confirmator in socket and Air Lock Handle on door. Go in and grab another Range Confirmator.

7. Go left and grab another pic(Rune).

8. Go right four times then up and insert second Range Confirmator within socket.

9. Now go back out of Drill Hole, go right three times, down twice, then left once and activate the Hatch Controlling Device.

10. Go back into the Drill Hole. Go right and enter the Air Lock Door. Continue on through the hatch door. Click on second Karmic Portal to enter the rooftop of The Lab.




The Lab



1. Go right and grab Force Field Plasma Canister.

2. Go right and click on light portal to transplant yourself into The Lab.

3. Go right and grab note on wall.

4. Go down then left and grab ladder step.

5. Go back out of Second Karmic Portal, leave the Drill Hole, then go right and click the second and third button on teleporter to to transport yourself to 0-1-1.


Dimension 0-1-1



1. Go down then right all the way to the other side of the sphere(right four times, up twice, then down twice).

2. Go left three times and pick up Plasma Charge.

3. Go back to the Teleporter and click on first button then activate(1-0-0).



Dimension 1-0-0



1. Go down twice the left three times. Enter Storage Unit 32/1.

2. Go down then right and grab Karma Fuse(glowing).

3. Go left and keep going down the ladder until you find the Vector Finder(screwy thing).

4. From entry room go right once and get 1/10 secret next to right lamp.

5. Get out of Storage Unit 32/1 and head right four times. Go down twice into Storage Unit 33/1.

6. Get Second Karma Fuse(glowing) in room with empty boxes and get Loop Stabilizer(disk shape) in room with radio(behind it).

7. Leave Storage Unit 33/1. Go up and right into Storage Unit 33/2.

8. Grab Third Karma Fuse(glowing) from Barrel Room. then leave 33/2.

9. Go right then into Storage Room 33/3 and grab note from robot/barrel/canister room.

10. Now go to the unit's Control Room and within each numbered dot(1, 2, and 3), a fuse knob(with a fuzzy corresponding numeral) must be turned on in order to be activated. Then rotate Control Handle to glyph.

11. Now go to radio/ladder room and take the Second Loop Stabilizer(disk shape) that appears then get out of 33/3.

12. Go up the ladder and enter 33/4.

13. Go to room with long stick and pick up Rune picture and the stick.

14. Grab Fourth Karma Fuse(glowing) in room with wood planks.

15. Now you need to seek out two triangular groups of dots in the center of two separate rooms, go where they lead and move a handle within that specified room.

16. After that, enter pipe/ladder room and remove hatch and take the Third Loop Stabilizer(disk shape).


17. Now go back to Unit 32/1.


18. Insert the 4 Karma Fuses(glowing) within center of lighting/equipment room then turn knob.


19. Go to stool-seat/pipe room and take Fourth Loop Stabilizer(disk shape) then leave Unit 32/1.


20. Enter Unit 33/2 and within the barrel room(with side-boxes) insert the four Loop Stabilizers within room's center to activate a Karmic Portal. You can't do anything there yet so just ignore it for now and head back to the Teleporter and punch in 1-0-1.





Dimension 1-0-1




1. Go left twice and pick up note from rail.

2. Go right three times and click on piston to lower ladder then go up.

3. Go all the way left and pick up Second Vector Finder(screwy thing).

4. Go right three times and install Ladder Piston(in your inventory) within canister, push it to lower ladder, then go up.

5. Go right once. Pick up another pictograph.

6. Go right once and enter Karmic Portal.

7. Pick up coil from socket exit Portal.

8. Now head back to the Teleportation device and punch in 1-1-0.



Dimension 1-1-0




1. Go left twice and install Force Field Plasma Canister within wall socket.

2. Go right once and enter door. pick up note.


3. Go left and look through telescope if you'd like then go down.


4. Pick up Triple A Battery under stairs then go right.


5. Pick up Third Vector Finder(screwy thing).

6. Go outside then right twice.

7. Enter room, remove objects from door, then enter.

8. Go left, enter second door, then enter third door straight forward into red chair room.

9. Go Left, click right-desk drawer, and pick up Fourth Vector Finder(screwy thing).

10. Go back outside(of doors) and head down stairs and enter into another room.

11. Go left and pick up note.

12. Go right twice, enter right door, go right, and pick up Fifth Vector Finder. Turn on Karmic Power machine then go back out.

13. Go left and enter the center door. Install Five Vector Finders in their proper place and enter Karmic Portal which'll take you to The Edge.



The Edge



1. Click upon the ledge left of screen. Go all the way left and pick up another pictograph.

2. Go right and click both vents to nudge them open. Enter left vent.

3. Go right twice and click on digital kiosk to deactivate laser gate then go right and pick up Blockade Removal Tool.

4. Go left twice, up, then left again and pick up Second Plasma Charge.

5. Go back out of left vent and enter the right vent.

6. Go right and insert Blockade Removal Tool within cog-wheel.

7. Go up twice then head left and grab Third Plasma Charge from inside machine cabinet.

8. Go right twice and turn the valve so that green dots point upwards and rightwards.

9. Go left, then down twice.

10. Go right twice then down and pick up Second Ladder Step.

11. Go up twice and turn valve so that green dots are facing rightwards and downwards.

12. Go down and left twice.

13. Go down and left. Pick up Karma Vial.

14. Go right twice and get Hatch Valve.

15. Go back outside of valves. Go right six times then up.

16. Insert Hatch Valve upon hatch and open vent.

17. Go right and insert the three Plasma Charges upon machine to activate kiosk. Click it to dispense the laser gate.

18. Go right and click screen to activate Emergency Evacuation Protocol.

19. Now go way back out of the Karmic Portal all the way back to the Teleporter and punch in 1-1-1.


Dimension 1-1-1



1. Go left twice and pick up another pictograph(hieroglyph).

2. Go right six times and pick up Third Ladder Step.

3. Go back to the Transporter and transport to 0-0-0.



Dimension 0-0-0



1. Now go back through the Karmic Portal to The Ship(left and up four times).

2. Go left four times then down twice. Left, up, then left twice, and insert Triple A Battery within Plaque -S-3-C-.

3. Now go back to the teleportor and punch in 0-0-1.


Dimension 0-0-1



1. Go right twice and play glyph puzzle(from the bottom up. Bottom=foot; bottom middle=sideways necktie; top middle=goad; top=hat).

2. Now go left, up, then left twice and get Cog Wheel from activated pedestal.

3. Go right twice, down twice, then right once and insert Cog Wheel upon niche.

4. Go left down, left, then up and enter Karmic Portal which leads to The Root.


The Root



1. Go down, right, and grab light sphere.

2. Go right, zoom in cubical, and get Cog Wheel.

3. Go right and remove metal sheets to let the ladder down. Go up, left, and enter Karmic Portal.

4. Go right, grab note, then exit Portal.

5. Now go back to the Teleportor.

6. From there go left twice, down, then right and insert Karmic Vial within socket.

7. Click resultant circle to get Stone Grape.

8. Go back to the Teleportor and punch in 1-0-1.


Dimension 1-0-1



1. Go right, up twice, and right twice to enter Karmic Portal.

2. Go right and place Light Sphere within Crown of Arc(circular object) then click it to get into another ship.

3. Go right and click hatch door to get Insulator Cap.

4. Go up and get Second Cog Wheel.

5. Go back outside then down and install three ladder steps below.

6. Go down and right. Collect another Light Sphere.

7. Go right and get another note.

8. Go left four times and collect Root Path Finder.

9. Go back out of the Karmic Portal and back to the Transporter and punch in 0-0-1.


Dimension 0-0-1



1. Go right, down twice, left, up, and through Karmic Portal to root.

2. Go down, right three times, up, and left. Enter another portal.

3. Go right and insert Root Path Finder within the socket for ladder to appear. Go down twice and get Data Tape.

4. Get out of both portals and head back to Teleportor and punch in 0-1-1.


Dimension 0-1-1



1. Go down and right three times. Enter Pipe.

2. Go left and down within hole(Control Room). Install Insulator Cap within bottom circle then rotate Connector clockwise twice.

3. Go up and right four times to Shiva.

4. Go down four times(ladder and chain) and right. Get Cog Wheel.

5. Go back to Control Room and again rotate Connector twice clockwise.

6. Go up and right twice. Enter Karmic Portal into The Core.



The Core



1. Go down and into building. Go left and into first room.

2. Go up and collect Telescope Tube.

3. Go down, leave room, and bang a left. Zoom in and take Second Stone Grape from yellow terminal.

4. Enter second room and get skull then leave room.

5. Go left twice, enter fourth room, and grab Telescope Head then leave room.

6. Go right and enter third room. Place Telescope Head and Telescope Tube upon telescope mount then look in. Collect second secret that falls out.

7. Now go all the way out of the Karmic Portal back to the Teleportor and punch in 0-0-1.


Dimension 0-0-1



1. Go left and insert two little Cog Wheels and one big one.

2. Go right twice, down, right twice, and click on Anubis's head to transfer to the other one.

3. Go right then down and collect Portal Charge.

4. Now go back to Teleportor and punch in 1-0-1.



Dimension 1-0-1



1. Go left and place two Grape Stone within skull sculpture above ox's head.

2. Go right twice, up, then left twice. Go into dome and insert Dada Tape within fourth compartment.

3. Go back to the Teleportor and punch in 1-0-1.



Dimension 1-0-1



1. Now go back to The Core(down, right three times, into pipe, left three times, and click Karmic Portal) and go down, left five times, and enter fourth room. Enter dome and collect Portal Stabilizer.

2. Now go back out of the Karmic Portal to the Teleportal and punch in 1-1-0.


Dimension 1-1-0



1. Go right, click through both doors, go right, click through both doors, and bang a left.

2. Place skull under Magnifying Glass and look in. Grab Explorer's Chip.

3. Go out from where you came from(right, down twice, right, down twice) and go right, down, right, and into the room. Go left, enter left door, and go left. Take Second Portal Stabilizer under ox head.

4. Now go back to Teleportor and punch in 1-1-1.


Dimension 1-1-1



1. Go right twice, down, left, and place Light Sphere within Arc Crown.

2. Grab the Meditation Glyph on the other side.

3. Transport back, go right, up, and left three times. Place Meditation Glyph on arc below inactive Karmic Portal(to activate it). Go through portal into Tomb Zone.


Tomb Zone



1. Go left, up the stairs twice, and left twice. Place Coil upon machine pedestal(with brown cord).

2. Go left twice and grab Third Portal Stabilizer.

4. Go right four times, down twice, right three times and pick up third secret.

5. Now go back out of Karmic Portal back to the Teleportor and transport to 0-0-0.


Dimension 0-0-0




1. Go right three times, down, left, down, and left. Place three Portal Stabilizers upon the rim and a Portal Charge upon the right socket. 

2. Push prism arm down and go into Lighthouse Portal.



Lighthouse



1. Go right, down the ladder, and left. Get Light Sphere.

2. Go right, up three times, and right. Place Light Sphere within arc and transport yourself.

3. Go down, left, and configure the four hieroglyphs according to the depictions upon the four pics in your inventory(top right=headless branched stick-figure; bottom right=stick-figure with drill[?]; top left=eye; bottom left=frown face).

4. Now go back out of the Lighthouse back to the Teleportor and punch in 1-1-1.



Dimension 1-1-1



1. Go left twice, down, and left to pick up a fork.

2. Now go back to the Teleportor and transport back to 0-0-0.


Dimension 0-0-0



1. Now go back down to the Karmic Portal that leads to The Lighthouse.

2. Go right, up twice, then right and transport via Light Sphere.

3. Go down twice and place fork between wires to repair broken connection.

4. Go up twice, left twice, down twice, and right. Flip third handle(extends ladder on other side).

5. Go back up through Light Sphere portal then go all the way down.

6. Go left and take note then go back right. Go through Basement portal.


Basement



1. Go left five times and pick up note.

2. Go left once, enter elevator, and click buttons.

3. Now go right and collect the Unlock Lever.

4. Go down twice, flip first handle, and head right. Get Stone Weight.

5. Go left, up three times, and left. Flip second handle.

6. Go right twice and collect second Unlock Lever.

7. Go left, down, left twice. Rotate disk leftwards.

8. Go right twice then down and take third Unlock Lever.

9. Go up, left twice, then down. Place Stone Weight upon postament and grab fourth Unlock Lever that results.

10. Go up, right, down twice, then right and place all four Unlock Levers within the four corners of the broken portal. Then go through.

11. Go down and right. Collect four fuses from dock grid(?).

12. Go up, left, up, and right twice. Get spoon.

13. Go up and left twice. Grab Light Sphere.

14. Go down twice and left twice. get valve.

15. Go left and get pearls from clock.

16. Go right, down three times, and right. Collect four Stone Cubes.

17. Go left, up twice, right, down, right, and up. Go through portal back to red dimension.

18. Go left, down, right, and place spoon upon pink pedestal to get fourth secret.

19. Go right, up, and left then through red portal.

20. Now go down, left, up, left, and up. Go through portal into dimension 0-0-0.


Dimension 0-0-0



1. From there, remove wood latch and open door to go in.

2. Go back to the lighthouse portal downstairs.

3. Go right, up twice, and right then transport via Light Sphere.

4. Go down, right, and place a pearl within radio ring to get fifth secret.

5. Now get out of the Lighthouse, up to the Transporter, and punch in 1-0-0.


Dimension 1-0-0



1. Go down twice and right four times into Unit 33/3.

2. Go right once and place a fuse into the Cylinder Machine then leave Unit 33/3 and enter Unit 33/2.

3. Enter barrel room with side-boxes and go through portal into The Loop.



The Loop



1. Place valve at the center(within room with square with lights on all sides).

2. Now you need to figure out what direction of the valve corresponds to which level upon the speaker's rail(Each valve's plaque below[left, right] corresponds to each speaker). Then you must place both charges upon the same level(via those two valve's) with one of the speakers and find a rotating handle with a corresponding letter(O or Y).

3. In rectangle room get Plasma Coil.

4. Go into the square grid room, place four Stone Cube upon each corner, and get sixth secret within room with ripped-off panel(wires in one socket).

5. Now exit The Loop and Unit 33/2. Go back to the Teleportor and punch in 1-1-0.



Dimension 1-1-0




1. Go right, enter two door, left, enter two doors, then bang a right.

2. Insert fuse into Cylinder Machine.

3. Go left, back twice, right, back twice out of room.

4. Now go right downstairs into the other room.

5. Go left and enter left door. Insert pearl within ring of radio to get seventh secret.

6. Go back, right, then into center door through The Edge portal.

7. Go right twice and enter left pipe vent.

8. Go right, up, right-up, and insert fuse into Cylinder Machine.

9. Now leave the Edge and room and get back to the Teleportor. Punch in 1-1-1.


Dimension 1-1-1




1. Go left twice, down, and right. Place final fuse into Cylinder Machine.

2. Now go back to the Teleportor and transfer to 0-0-0.


Dimension 0-0-0



1. Go left twice and take Empty Karma Stabilizer.

2. Go back to the Teleportor and punch in 0-1-0 then head for The Lab beyond the hatch within Drill Hole.


Dimension 0-1-0



1. On roof, transport into the lab via Light Sphere.

2. Go right, down, right, move tray, place Explorer's Chip in tray, and proceed.

3. Place Empty Karma Stabilizer within machine, turn knob to fill it, then take full Karma Stabilizer.

4. Leave the Lab and Drill Hole then go back to the Teleportor and transfer to 0-0-0.


Dimension 0-0-0



1. Go right three times and use Karma Stabilizer on red bricks(they'll conjoin to create a portal). Go in and get Tile C.

2. Go outside of Dimension 0-0-0. Then go go outside of The Ship to The Beginning scene.

3. Go down twice and right twice. Use Karmic Stabilizer on grey bricks then go through portal. Collect Tile A.

4. Go left seven times and use Karma Stabilizer on floating shards. Go through portal and get eighth secret.

5. Go right eight times beam into the Control Rom(via Light Sphere).

6. Go right, up, right twice, then down and use Karma Stabilizer on floating steps.

7. Go all the way back to Dimension 0-0-0 to the Teleportor and punch in 1-1-0.


Dimension 1-1-0



1. Go left three times and use karmic Stabilizer on floating shards. Go through portal and collect Tile D and Metal Spring(under blue wires).

2. Go right six times and use Karma Stabilizer on bricks. Grab the ninth secret.

3. Go back to the teleportor and punch in 0-1-1.


Dimension 0-1-1



1. Now go down, right X3, left X3, then go through The Core Portal.

2. Go down, left, then right and use Karma Stabilizer on floating blocks. Go right and pick up note.

3. Go right and enter portal. Take Plasma Coil.

4. Now go all the way back to the teleportor and transfer to Dimension 0-0-0.


Dimension 0-0-0



1. Head back into The Lighthouse then the Basement.

2. From there head right three times and use Karma Stabilizer on floating slabs to create portal. Go in to get Tile B.

3. Now leave The Basement and Lighthouse. Get back to the Teleportor.

4. From there go left then up. Combine long stick with Metal Wire. Go down hole and use resultant device to get tenth and final secret.

5. Go back out of Dimension 0-0-0 and out of the ship. Beam into the Control Panal(via Light Sphere).

6. Go right, up, right, down, then left. Insert tiles within circle above door. Then enter.

7. Go left and insert Plasma Coil within sockets then zoom into kiosk to activate ladder.

8. Go left twice and pick up note.

9. Go right and up the ladder on through the vent into the top part of the lighthouse(through portal).

10. Continue on through vent until you reach a room with a ladder. Pick up note.

11. Go up X3 then left. Collect I.D. Card.

12. Go right twice and collect fuse(do not click the big light bulb).

13. Go back out of the portal(click just left of ladders bottom to left), Control Portal, and back into the Ship.

14. Go right, up, and left. Insert Captain's I.D. Card within slot.

15. Go up twice and pick up note.

16. Go up and collect Portable Light Crown to your right.

17. Now go back to Dimension 0-0-0 unto the Teleportor and punch in 1-1-0.


Dimension 1-1-0



1. Head back to the Edge(right, down, right, into room, and central door).

2. Go right three times and place fuse upon right pedestal.

3. Grab Portable Light Crown Converter from the left pedestal.

4. Now go back to the Teleporter and transfer back to 0-0-0.


Dimension 0-0-0



1. From there go back out of the Ship into the Control Panal-via Light Sphere). Go back to the four-tiled door and go back to the portal which leads to the top of the light house.

2. Go right twice, up three times, and right. Insert Portable Light Crown Converter on pedestal. Then Portable Light Crown on top of it.

3. Put Light Sphere within Crown(Arc).

4. If you'd like, you can wonder the premises free range. Otherwise, once you click the Light Sphere...
