Simon Says Remember When

#Simon is a computer, Simon has a brain. You either do only what Simon say's or you'll go down the gutter! #SimonSays #FlashGames
Ah yes. That classic memory-inducing gem of the 80's. Who could ever forget being put to the challenge, color-coded and all. All brought to you in part by Milton Bradley. Well then, let's take a stroll down memory lane...Shall we?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Back in the 1970's, two fellas by the names of Ralph H. Baer and Howard J. Morrison wanted to expand upon Atari's ugly coinop-"Follow Me". This piece of junk was annoying! Not to mention such a drudgery. Those sound effects would only leave you banging your head against the wall.

But what others saw as an annoyance, these guys saw potential. "Why not make a spherical homemade color-coded memory game and name it after a kids game. Let's see, 'Simon Says'. People would go for that!".

Around the same time, "Close Encounters of The Third Kind" was a blockbuster! With that UFO tune still stuck in their heads, selling Simon became a no-brainer. Thus Simon became a high-sounding symbol of the 80's alongside Pac-Man, Mario, Space Invaders, and Pong.
