OXO

#OXO is controversially the first #VideoGame ever. #NaughtsAndCrosses
Tic-Tac-Toe anyone?

O.K. In 1952 a man by the name of Douglas invented The first video game. A lad no more then in his early 20's, he plainly christened it "OXO"-A British version of "Tic Tac Toe". Also named "Naughts and Crosses". Yet there has been talk going on of a World War 2 inspired missile game(1947?) that even predates this one. Though nothings been absolutely confirmed.

Although Tic Tac Toe(Naughts and Crosses) was invented centuries perhaps millenniums before computers arrived, he chose this game because of it's lovely simplicity. "OXO" was only intended for a school project(Cambridge University) and never got the attention it well-deserved. Many today mistaken "Tennis for Two"(released in 1958) as the first video game.

O.K. Nuff said. Let's just get to it already. Either play in computer or 2 player mode. But I gotta warn you, the machine is dumb, but not for long! Can't take the beat? Then stick with 2-player. Maybe your pal isn't so savvy.;)
