Unfortunately, the video game crash of '83 hit Atari real hard where it hurts. Yet the early 90's saw them aim for a comeback. With Atari Jagwire. Unfortunately due to sophisticated maintenance, it never saw a total breakthrough.
As of today, Atari is a third-party contractor of Nintendo. Of whom has since bought out the ancient console.
